About Thierno

In 2007, Thierno Diallo and six other Senegalese youth started New Voices for the Environment, the first climate change program for local primary schools in Senegal. Through this innovative program Thierno has trained over 500 students to understand and be responsible for finding solutions to climate change. Thierno has also started an urban composting and gardening project to provide a sustainable food supply to the very poor of Senegal. Thierno dreams of cleaning up the immense amounts of garbage and pollution that plague the capital city of Dakar.
